UU Swimming Competes Against Ashland & Malone

ASHLAND, Ohio -- The Urbana men's and women's swimming teams competed against Ashland and Malone Friday night in a double dual at AU's Messerly Natatorium. UU produced six points on the women's side and three points in men's action.

The Blue Knights, who finished out their regular season portion of road competition, were led by a pair of second-place finishes recorded by Jaybreona Foster. The freshman from East Liverpool, Ohio picked up four points in the women's 200-yard IM with a finals time of 2:25.91 and then followed that up with a mark of 2:38.59 in the women's 200-yard Breaststroke.

Sophomore Ashlynn Miller and junior Holly Fisher also picked up one point each on the women's side. Miller registered a finals time of 6:10.30 for fifth place in the 500-yard Freestyle while Fisher finished with a time of 2:40.33 in the 200-yard Backstroke event.

The UU women finished fifth in the 200-yard Medley Relay to open the night. Fisher, Foster, Miller and Jaelle Lindon combined for a mark of 2:05.92. Lindon and Miller also represented UU in three additional freestyle events.

On the men's side, Dakota Lewis-Griggs earned two points in the 200-yard Backstroke at 2:09.85 and added another point in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 23.65.

UP NEXT
UU closes out the regular season with a home meet Saturday against Manchester (Ind.), which is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET at the UU Aquatics Center.
