UU Releases 2019 AD's Spring Honor Roll

URBANA, Ohio – The Urbana University Department of Athletics announced Wednesday the 2019 Athletic Director's Spring Honor Roll.

Urbana's NCAA Division II teams produced a combined 3.35 team grade-point average, while 14 of the 16 sports posted a team GPA higher than 3.0 over the spring semester.

To qualify for the AD's Honor Roll, Blue Knight student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA. Altogether, there are 137 student-athletes recognized this spring.

The AD's Honor Roll prolonged its streak of boasting 100 or more honorees while hitting triple digits for the 12th time over the previous 13 semesters.

Also, there are 46 Blue Knights with a perfect 4.0 GPA – the second-most in school history behind last spring (57). Baseball and women's volleyball each had six individuals post a 4.0 GPA.

Top team GPA's among the men's sports include: Soccer (3.51), Swimming (3.44) and Golf (3.30). The women's sports were led by: Cross Country (3.91), Volleyball (3.82) and Basketball (3.74). Both women's cross country (5) and women's volleyball (11) feature every team member on the AD's Spring Honor Roll.
